In kinship with the idea of readymade components as catalysts of design opportunities, these lamps integrates pre-existing material into a new object in which the stool’s formal and sculptural qualities are deeply felt. Produced by the thousands from the 1980s’ to the late 1990s’, the once beloved Amisco stool seems to have fallen out of fashion for now; it is flooding the second-hand furniture market, often remaining unsold for months. It now holds the potential for a second life in the production of new designs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe prototypes for sale at the POP POP POP exhibition were made using components from the original stool.
