Summary
After a ten-year hiatus, the founder of ihatecrocs.com posted an article expressing concerns about the resurgence of Crocs culture and reintroducing their radical actions — destroying the shoes through burning, cutting and painting them. From hatred, provocation to affirmation of its values, these intricate stories inspired the creation of this comic zine. By transforming the insights from the website, memes, historical narratives and creeds, the zine features the absurdity of resistance, as well as the dilemmas individuals find themselves in within the framework of commodity order and pop culture.

About the artist
kycolun is a Hong Kong–based illustrator and zine maker. Influenced by automatic writing and whimsical creative processes, he juxtaposes contradictory values drawn from lived experience—such as the individual and the collective, the natural and the planned, humour and cruelty—to create surprising, chaotic yet harmonious visual narratives and present stories of alternative metropolitan life. These works explore the precarious, fleeting conditions beneath metropolitan order, as well as the potential and resilience for rebellion within it.
