City of Montreal Map of Central Portion
Artist: Arthur Oligny
Format: 16 x 12 inches

Arthur Oligny's 1947 Montréal map shows a few of the city's oddities and tourist magnets, from the Musée Historique Canadien ("America's most beautiful wax museum") to "French Canada's largest store" (Dupuis Frères at 865 St. Catherine E.). Also of note: the corner ad advertising the "lost" building in the city, the newly-built Laurentien Hotel on the southwest corner of Dorchester Square.
