Handcrafted in Jesmonite, this coaster combines functionality with timeless design. Versatile and elegant, it can be used for your glasses, or in the entryway as a catchall tray, in the bedroom to hold your jewelry.
Jesmonite is a composite water-based resin that was developed in the 1980s by British chemist Peter Hawkins. The goal was the create an alternative to traditional building materials such as plaster and fibreglass that was safer, more durable, and more versatile.
It also happens to be non-toxic and have a low carbon footprint. Jesmonite’s durability makes it an ideal homeware material in the fight against obsolescence.
