The POP POP POP exhibition takes shape around the reissue of the Glo-Up lighting collection, designed in 1969 by Douglas Ball.

True icons of Canadian design, these luminaires reflect a period marked by exceptional creative momentum, fueled by the optimism of Expo 67 and the freedom of expression of Pop Art.

Led by Montréal-based designer Mathieu Leclerc (Full Room) in close collaboration with Douglas Ball, this project revives the iconic collection. Entirely manufactured and assembled in Canada, the luminaires respect the proportions, materials, and spirit of the original work, while situating this legacy within a contemporary context.

POP POP POP is above all a tribute to Douglas Ball’s work and his legacy. Alongside his practice, we have brought together a selection of artisans, designers, and artists whose work resonates with this universe through geometric forms, bold colours, materials, and craftsmanship. The exhibition highlights creators and brands who, each in their own way, reinvent everyday life with sensitivity, ingenuity, and character.
